On the shores of lake Malbuisson, discover the restaurant of  L’Atelier de Donat, a restaurant  that combines "trendy" cuisine with a "vintage" atmosphere and attentive service. Just 15km from Pontarlier and not far from the Swiss border, treat yourself to a gourmet gateaway in the heart of the Doubs region, where you can unwind in a privileged natural setting where serenity reigns.

The restaurant flourishes in a former woodworking shop, an activity that as left it imprint through the decoration and ambience of the hotel. Associated with stone, the wood is omnipresent; these natural materials add to the warmth of the room and reignforce the central fireplace. Woodworking chisels, crankshafts, planks, pincers and other tools from that period decorated the walls, all linking to the history of the place.

In this authentic and unusual atmosphere, we invite you to taste a seasonal cuisine inspired by bistronomy as well as classics francs-comtois gastronomy.

Looking for a restaurant in the Doubs to organize a group meal, a family reunion or a business lunch... In Malbuisson, L'Atelier de Donat is the ideal place. The restaurant is made up of two areas that are perfect for group reunions while promoting discretion and privacy. 

The main dining room with its "bistro" atmosphere is ideal for romantic dinners, business meals, luncheons with friends, or family breaks... Intimate tables and cosy atmosphere will delight your guests whilst ensuring discretion and tranquillity for your appointment. The dining room can accommodate between 40 and 50 people. 

For your group meals, L'Atelier de Donat offers you an independent room of about 50m², named L'Annexe. Versatile and spacious, it accommade up to 30 people. 

In the Annexe, regional specialities are honoured : Stone grill, Raclette or even hot Mont d'Or will delight your taste buds.

At any time of the day, enjoy the spacious terrace of L'Atelier de Donat. It extends between our hotel-restaurant and the walkway around the Saint-Point Lake. It's an ideal location that will allow you to enjoy a panoramic view of the glistening waters of the lake. 

With a covered and heated area, the terrace welcomes you for a large part of the year. With tables and chairs, it is perfetc for outdoor lunches, evenings facing the lake or outdoor aperitifs...

The terrace also has a large lounge area : sofas and armchairs invite you to relax and contemplate the surroundings. 

(The terrace and the living room area are not accessible to customers in swimsuits)
